Friday and Sunday Breakfast: Bean Bowl

Turn breakfast into a fiesta with this protein-packed bowl.

This recipe was developed specifically for Dr. Oz's 21-Day Weight-Loss Breakthrough diet plan. To make this for Friday and Sunday's breakfasts, you'll need the Prep Day Big-Batch Veggies, the Midweek Prep Breakfast Beans, and the Prep Day Go-To Berries.

Level: Easy


  • 1/4 avocado
  • a pinch of cumin
  • a pinch of coarse salt
  • 1 tsp. sunflower seeds
  • 2 bell pepper sides from Prep Day Big-Batch Veggies (recipe link in directions)
  • 1 tsp. lime juice
  • 1/2 c. Prep Day Go-To Berries (recipe link in directions)
  • 1/2 c. Mid-Week Prep Breakfast Beans (recipe link in directions)


  1. Mash ¼ avocado with 1 tsp lime juice and a pinch each of cumin and coarse salt.
  2. Spoon over 2 bell pepper sides from the Prep Day Big-Batch Veggies.
  3. Combine with ½ cup Midweek Prep Breakfast Beans, 1 tsp sunflower seeds, and a lime wedge.
  4. Serve with ½ cup Prep Day Go-To Berries.
