- ½ c. red wine vinegar
- ½ tsp. coarse salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 red onion (sliced into strips)
- Bring red wine vinegar, coarse salt, and sugar to boil in a saucepan.
- Add red onion (sliced into strips), and cook 2-3 minutes, stirring until wilted.
- Cool mixture in a bowl. Refrigerate until ready to drain and serve (up to 4 days).
