Ingredients

  • ½ c. red wine vinegar
  • ½ tsp. coarse salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 red onion (sliced into strips)

Directions

  1. Bring red wine vinegar, coarse salt, and sugar to boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add red onion (sliced into strips), and cook 2-3 minutes, stirring until wilted.
  3. Cool mixture in a bowl. Refrigerate until ready to drain and serve (up to 4 days).
