Mayo is tasty and all, but is it really worth the nearly 100 calories per tablespoon? If you're ready to swap out the white stuff for something a little more heart-healthy, we have just the solution.
Don't let the green hue scare you away: This "mayo" still has the same great creamy flavor, but is made out of none other than MUFA-packed avocados.
The genius recipe, created by Lauren Gallucci of Sweet Laurel, only requires a handful of ingredients and a blender. The best part? Unlike avocados, which seem to initiate some sort of self-destruct sequence 5 minutes after being cut, this mix lasts for up to a week in your fridge. That's a pretty delicious week if we do say so ourselves.
Want to use it for more than just your sandwiches? Go for it. Gallucci says it doubles as dressing, veggie dip, burger spread, or really anything else you'd put mayo on, too.
