Here at The Good Life we have a saying: "If you don't like avocados, we don't trust you." OK, no, that's not actually something we say, but we do find it disconcerting when someone doesn't dig a good guacamole or prefers their toast sans smashed avo.

And it turns out we're not the only ones who are smitten with the heart-healthy fruit. During this year's Super Bowl championship, Americans are predicted to gobble up a record 278 million avocados, or 139 pounds, while watching the showdown. That's enough to cover a football field, end zone to end zone, over 53 feet high. Talk about the stuff dreams are made of.

To celebrate, the Hass Avocado Board is challenging Americans to snap a shot of how they enjoy avocado dip and tag the pics with #GuacGoal from January 22 to February 7. And as with any good contest, there's a prize. While we wish it were 139 pounds of avocados, $500 for the winner and $250 each for the two runners up doesn't sound too shabby.
